THE EVENT

THE COLETIVO DE PORTAS ABERTAS IV brought together big names in national coffee to talk about the challenges of our coffee growing in a broad and collaborative way. And in this year of 2020, the program sought to help coffee producers in their quest to improve quality, management and access to new markets. The main points of attention of the present day and references of success within four themes were discussed: FARMING, HARVEST, POST-HARVEST and COMMERCIALIZATION. The objective was to present fundamental knowledge, exchange experiences and enlighten producers, helping them to create consistency in coffee cultivation. In an innovative and dynamic chat model, the panels had 3 professionals from different areas who work in a remarkable way in the market. We are a family owned and operated business. To conduct the presentations in the best way, we invited 2 mentors (producers) to script and choose the panelists with the production team and adapt the best questions. A mediator led the dynamic and addressed the audience's doubts. High quality content being made available here! For everyone interested in the world of specialty coffee.

MENTORES

LUCAS VENTURIM 

Part of the 5th generation of coffee growers in his family, he has dedicated himself in the last 12 years to the production of specialty coffees, and mainly to break the paradigm regarding the quality of Conilon coffee.

LUIS CARLOS GOMES

Producer since 1999 in the capixabas mountains, he grows arabica coffee and camphor for quality.

AGRICULTURE

João Batista Pavesi

Agronomist with a master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology and a PhD in Agronomy. He has experience in the field of Agronomy, with an emphasis on Soil Fertility and Fertilization, Microbiology and Biochemistry of Soil, Heavy Metals of Soil, Organic Matter of Soil, Recovery of Degraded Areas, Watershed Management and Environmental Education. He is also Q Grader certified by the Coffee Quality Institute in 2016. He is currently Coordinator of the Coffee Classification and Tasting Laboratory at IFES - Campus Alegre, working on a project to implement the Geographical Indication of Special Cafes in Caparaó and a teacher of basic education.

Tarcísio Lacerda

Mr. Tarcísio is a producer and the patriarch of the Santa Rita family, a site with management and control in all processes, he is responsible for the production part. He has a lot of knowledge of farming.

Cesar Krohling

Jéssica Carmo

Agronomist and coffee producer in the city of Mutum. She is also a Consultant in the technical and managerial assistance program at Senar MG.

Thiana Luvizotto

A trained biologist and coffee grower out of passion, for 18 years in coffee growing, she has always sought to be present in the entire production process. Today he specializes in roasting and is looking for improvements in the management of the farm.

Edmar Zuccon

He has been working in coffee farming for 40 years. He had experience in coffee production with his father since he was 10 years old, has great knowledge in production. He managed to export his coffee as a rural producer (Individual). Today, with his knowledge, he works with international freight and re-processing of specialty coffees.

POST-HARVEST

Lucas Louzada

PhD in Production Engineering, Master in Production Engineering and professor at IFES, Venda Nova do Imigrante campus. It works with research aimed at quality control in production systems, process control, with a special focus on coffee growing. Develops research in the area of ​​sensory analysis and coffee roasting. He is Q-Grader and Coordinator of the Coffee Analysis and Research Laboratory at IFES. He was a speaker at science and technology events as a speaker in Australia, Russia and Colombia. He hosted the Cup of Excellence in 2017 as coordinator of the technical actions that were developed at IFES.

Jhone Lacerda

A producer, known for his excellent work in managing production processes, he works with fermentation and drying control and manages to maintain consistency and sensory pattern in different seasons.

Fabiano Tristão

Agronomist with expertise in grain post harvest. He has been with INCAPER since 2005, where he still works as an extension and rural development agent with a focus on coffee growing. He has already published 50 research papers on coffee production in magazines and conference proceedings, in addition to participation in some books on the subject. He gave 250 lectures in Brazil aimed at coffee growing and represented the state in missions related to coffee in the United States and Colombia.

Clayton Barrossa

Producer, ex-surfer who said goodbye to the sea to climb the Caparaó mountains and create the mythical Ninho da Águia farm.

He works at Spot Coffee Roasters as a master of towers and Quality Manager.
She worked as a master of towers, Quality Manager and instructor in the roasting courses of the company Coffee Lab de Isabela Raposeiras for 11 years.

Nayra Caldas

Nayra Caldas is from Minas Gerais, a biologist and has always been passionate about coffee. In 2017 she became a barista and instructor at the Coffee Lab, where she worked for 2 years. There he aroused great interest in roasting and today he works at Spot Coffee Roasters in the sector of Roasting and Quality Control.

Renato Gutierres

He has been working in the coffee area for 10 years, today focused on education, training and consulting for coffee shops, roasting and industry.

Backpacker, Fotografa, Passionate about Coffee, 2019 Aeropress Champion, and dreams of traveling the world and inspiring people to also make theirs.

João Ribeiro

He began to study and learn more about special coffee during the gastronomy course, after graduating, in 2018 he decided to open a coffee shop in Vitória - ES and enter this world once and for all. In the same year I won the national aeropress championship and thus definitely delved deep into the world of coffee.
